On the coast of Nomia, south of Monemvasia, it is ideal for those looking for a beach with amenities, including sunbeds, umbrellas and a mobile canteen. It is suitable for games such as beach volleyball and rackets.
Right next to the beach are restaurants and hotels.
The long beautiful beach of Xifias is located 7 km south west of Monemvasia Town. It is close to the villages of Agia Paraskevi, Nomia, and Agios Stefanos. All of them gifted with some nice beaches which are a nice option for swimming.
Plitra is a hidden gem just a 40 minute drive west of Monemvasia. This beach has crystal clear waters, beds with umbrellas, and food services.
Elafonisos is a beautiful island with exotic beaches considered among the best in the Mediterranean. We recommend going to Simos Beach once on the island. The white sand and turquoise water captivate visitors.
The port to Elafonisos is about 40 minutes away from Monemvasia by car and the island is accessible by a short ferry ride. You can drive your vehicle onto the ferry and have it with you on the island. If you go to Elafonisos, we'd recommend getting there in the morning to utilize the whole day because it is simply breathtaking.
